It has been many years since Nat Geo has done Angkor but they have done it again in great style. Nat Geo magazine's July issue had the Angkor empire as the cover story and they have done a wonderful job with an extensive presentation on their website as well.
You can read the cover story, check out the interactive section with several short 3-D animations of what things may have looked like during the thriving years of the Angkor empire, where you can learn a bit about seven of the major temples and the main religious symbols found at Angkor and of course in true Nat Geo style they have a beautiful photo gallery. A definite stop to whet your appetite before heading off to visit!
