One of the most popular temples in the Angkor Wat temple complex is being conserved in part with a grant from the US government. Phnom Bakheng, which on some days sees up to 3,000 tourists climbing its steps to view the sunset will benefit from the recenctly announced $980,000 grant from the US which will be given to the nonprofit World Monuments Fund, a New York-based archaeological group that has been doing work at the temple since 2004.
